No…I’m still alive!
So I haven’t posted in a while and I figured I should quickly post with a catch up. Work is going good, a lot of work to get done, but we are accomplishing a lot of really cool things over here. I have taken on a task of reviewing programming books, I have two books in my hands right now, I have finished one and am working on the other. Stay tuned for reviews on my site of them. Summer is nice, I actually missed the warm weather, but not getting sunburned. Florida Day was this past weekend, and it was really nice to see a lot of old friends and make some new ones. I sat out by the pool most of Saturday, and then on Sunday I went to the beach. It is not a good idea to get burned at the pool and then decide to goto the beach the next day. But it was worth it. It was a lot of fun and I am very happy that I went. With being so busy lately I haven’t had time to hang with some of my friends, but I promise that I am working harder to correct that.
On a slightly geekier note. I have been addicted to one computer game since I was really young. I love the Sid Meier’s Civilization series. I have Civilization 4 for Mac and play it regularly when I have some free time. I also enjoy playing Age of Empires 3 (thanks to my roommate). But the exciting news is that Civilization Revolutions is being released as a console game for XBox 360. So I am very excited to pickup a copy on June 8th. Yay!
Well I hope everyone is well. I hope to write something a little more geeky in the coming days!
National Convention
Well convention is over and the following things happened:
- Met the Boston Brass again.
- Celebrated Cristina ‘Nasty’ Venturini’s birthday (3 times)
- Saw Ian (not for very long)
- Met new people etc.
It was a fun convention from what I was able to go to. But I am disappointed in not being able to spend more time with some of the brothers that I don’t get to see ever. Oh well. I will post pictures soon.
Heading South
So at around 3 PM today, I begin my trip down south to Cooper City. Heading home for the weekend to spend time with friends, family and install the ΚΚΨ Colony at FAU. Should be a good time. I look forward to putting them though and getting time to hang out with them. Also seeing my family is a nice plus, will get some time to hang with my mom, and tomorrow morning I will see my dad and Barbara. Good times. Will post more as soon as I can!

Florida Day
So this past weekend marks the 5th Florida Day that I have been in attendance. I have to say that it was by far the most enjoyable. For those of you who are not aware of the ‘Florida Day’ tradition. It is an event hosted by the Eta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi and the Zeta Psi Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at UCF, and is a gathering of chapters of the fraternity and sorority. Pretty much its a day at the pool for us. We grill food and enjoy meeting new people. Met some new people, saw some old people. And once again realized why I am here.
Retreat
So its that time of the year again, Spring Retreat. This promises to be a fun time for me. We are camping out by Daytona at a park I have never been to. I am excited. Instead of the chapter footing all of the food costs and making us pay the camping costs, it is the other way around. We are cooking on our own. So a few of us have devised an amazing menu! I am very happy!! This is going to be so much fun. Look for pictures when I return!!
